A

Joseph Haro is an actor, director, and creator. He is best known for his work on MTV's Awkward and Disney's Elena of Avalor where he voices the Royal Wizard, Mateo. Most recently he co-starred in Gabriele Muccino's film Summertime (L'Estate Addosso) which premiered at the 73rd Annual Venice Film Festival. 

In 2013 he was cast as Junior on NBC's Welcome to the Family. Other TV credits include: FOX's GLEE, CMT's Still the King, Battle Creek and Vegas, both on CBS. 

With a love of theatre, Joseph began his career in New York City, originating the role of Chino in the 2008 Broadway Revival of West Side Story directed by Arthur Laurents. He has also appeared in Hairspray, both on Broadway and at LA's iconic Hollywood Bowl. Off-Broadway he originated the role of Danny in Freckleface Strawberry, based on the best-selling children's book by Julianne Moore. Joseph also performed in Altar Boyz, both Off-Broadway and in the original cast of the Chicago production, directed by Stafford Arima. 

On July 6th, 2018 he released And All That Jazz, a short film he created and Co-Directed/Produced, on YouTube. As a producer, he invested in the documentary The True Cost from filmmaker Andrew Morgan. 

He is currently splitting his time between New York City and Los Angeles and is developing multiple new projects, including a children's book.
